Text has always been fascinating to me, especially when children write it. I will never understand why penmanship is graded in elementary school. Saskia (my 10 year old) wrote this out for me; I scanned it in and painted over it with white paint. She added the words "have not evil".
The way your subjects reveal themselves is fascinating. Whether is is cultural pressure, age, illness, or innocence, the faces combined with digital, painterly, or (as above) physical manipulation offer a study in how we much of interior life is hidden from the world.
